There was a band there in the mid-70's that I think was called Joe & Co. I just remember that the girl singer was very attractive.

The name of the group that played the Hof was the Johnnie Alone Trio. Johnnie played several insterments, Chris sang and played the kazoo and Brian was on drums. I will be sending the AFRC Reunion a video with many photos and on the last hour are songs played by the trio along with an interview that I made with Johnnie and the gang in my quarters in the Strub. I remember a duo, they were British, husband and wife. He played electric guitar, only Herr Vogt made him unplug it, and his wife played keyboard. They played cruise ships alot. That was probably about '84. Otherwise I just remember Wuki Rich playing before Bavarian night on Saturday.

JOE / SUSAN: Susan is on the right track. I was not there in the 80's but I believe the couple that played at the Hof was a brother and sister group. They did cruise ships when not playing for AFRC. JIM

CHRISTINE: Johnny Alone Trio (John Hope, Chris Beatels and Brian Nailer) played the Hof and Walker 1972 - 1975. They returned to England after their contract was up. A brother and sister came on board sometime after that and worked BRA, GAP and Chiemsee. They also worked cruise ships in the Med during the summer periods. I was still in BRA when Giesla Gunther brought them down from Frankfurt for an audition in Garmisch. JIM

I have a picture of an English band that I took at the Hof in 75. They played Albatross for me by Fleetwood Mac and were real good. Can send the pic to see if indeed they are the Johnny Alone Trio. Jerry

At least in the 80's there would be bands or duets, trios that would come play at the Hof, some times for a whole season, maybe even a year. That was where and how I first met Tom Robins, who by the way as far as I know still tours Europe, wrote or co -wrote a song that was used in one of the StarTrek Movie series.
