I recently moved to northeast Washington State and therefore I have access to northern Idaho resorts as well as those in lower British Columbia.
What amazes me most are the low prices. For example the closest resorts in Idaho are Silver Mt. and Schweitzer Mt. They are $46 and $55 respectively all day. On the other hand Red Mt. (just an hour north in British Columbia) is only $58 all day for some of the best Powder (and Tele skiing) Canada has to offer.
Of course there is always our local resort "49 Degrees North" (the name as well as the location) located in "Chewela". I like it best on "Toyota" day. And yes, just like it sounds, you get a free all day lift ticket for anyone who drives in with a Toyota. Otherwise it is $43 all day.
I still haven't made it over to the western side of the state to see what they've have to offer. I look forward to it next year.
Of course, where we live, we have to ski back and forth to our car just so we can get to get to town. My girlfriend wanted me to buy a snowplow but I bought her snowshoes instead. (Now, that's what I call true love. :)

I live on the border of Vermont & Mass. so I often ski at Jiminy Peak which is 20 minutes from my house, or at Mt. Snow or Stratton in Vermont which are 45 minutes away. Stratton & Mt Snow charge $72 midweek all day whereas Jiminy $45 midweek for 4 hours. Yesterday I skied at Bromley which is opposite Stratton & it was $25 all day midweek & absolutely fantastic with lots of lifts including a high speed one to the top. Conditions were superb. What are the prices like out West? Is Bromley the cheapest days skiing in the US?. I now am thinking twice about my season pass at Jiminy because Bromley is much better.

I like to ski Loveland about 65 miles out of Denver, about $46 if you buy your ticket at a major grocery store in Denver. Recently skied Breckenridge afor the AFRC reunion, their prices are $86 all day.
