Harry; I had my sweater up until 1995 and it somehow got lost when we moved? And it still fit... so I was really unhappy about missing it. I am trying to up to the reunion theis year, (no more excuses) make a four day quicky vacation, but work with this new job might make it difficult...?? And then there is my Army Reserve thing? Hook or crook, Erika and I are planning to attend. Bill

Yes, it was Harold's. They seem to be out of business. I for one would like to get a new one. If there are enough people who want one we could find someone to make us some. What do you think? Craig.

http://www.sgtbilly.smugmug.com/gallery/2832385#151614828 , Sorry I forgot to note the ones pictured in this link are the first shipment- from the first manufacture, which as the lot was delivered you can see is way too red. The maroon is better and quality is the same for about $120 less.

“harald's sweater 100% PURE WOOL Ehrwald - Tirol” Line by line, this is what appears on the Ski Patrol Sweater. To the left side of the label (as you are facing the label sewn onto the back of the sweater) is a symbol which looks like a triumphant skier jumping with joy (arms and legs spread apart) with the upper body in front of a black flag. The arms are overhead and stretched widely side to side and there is a ski pole hanging from one hand. The torso and arms are a yellow thread, the head (no features) is a white thread, and the legs are a black thread. Bill, if I had realized you were looking, I had THE SWEATER on at Banff and could have shown you the label. (You did see that I had the sweater on, didn't you?) Cynthia (Kincade) Hackney

I have ordered three AFRC Ski Patroler Sweaters and received them today (March5). The first two I will keep, but, I am taking orders for new sweaters...!! They came out pretty good and I think the sweater is going to cost around $50.- Let me know if you are interested. Sweater photos will be posted on my web site under the Banff, CANADA AFRC Ski Reunion. - http://sgtbilly.smugmug.com/Parties/293408

We had our Olympic Luge Team Sweaters made by this Company in Erwald, Austria but I can't remember the name of the owner. Try Tom Neely in Sun Valley , he might be able to help you. His email address is: Tomneely1@msn.com. As I recall, Tom & Bud Feltman, both team members arranged for our sweaters. I did visit the place one time but don't recall the name. I think it was a father & son operation and they had great quality sweaters. Tom has been a Ski Instructor for many years in Sun Valley and in the summer runs the Sun Valley Gun Club. Bud is in Park City, Utah in Real Estate.

Bill, the sweaters' were made in Ehrwald; just over the border from Garmisch. I have tried to make contact but have had no luck over the past couple years. I don't know the name of the company, which, of course, sure would be a great help in the search. By the way, where are you right now? Any chance you are going to make it to the reunion in March? Paul

Bill, the maker of the sweater is 'Harrolds' of Ehrwald. It does not appear to be in business at this time. Denny and Lois went there and looked for it this past fall and had no luck. I am trying to contact Dave Oakland to see if he can look it up for us. Paul
