Yeah he was always stubborn, obstinate. I think he read ten words to a more powerful vocabulary in Readers Digest and always used them in the wrong context, he would love to argue about anything. It had a high degree of entertainment value. I don't think he appreciated me a bit.

How in the hell is everybody? John lived upstairs, Jim Long had another room but was always with his then girlfriend, Janice or maybe Janet? I had the downstairs to my self and managed to dodge the bullet everytime Lt Albright walked up the street and pulled a surprise billet inspection in the early morning hours. An amazing tool for the old memory jog is Google Earth! I went to a party that Mel threw here in Denver quite a few years ago. He was an up and coming electrician. I will see if I can track him down and get him headed north for the next reunion. Best wishes for the New Year! Ken

Wow...I do remember John, I remember his upstairs apt in Strub housing, across from Conway; and I recall how lucky I thought he was being there on permanent party. The other thing I remember was he was very stubborn if the wall was white, he would argue it was gray!

I spoke with him at length way too many times in the late 90's Most calls came in late in the evening when he was smashed. He spoke very ill of many of my close friends that we both were stationed with. I finally told him to not call anymore. If he really felt the way he said I think his welcome at a reunion may be less then cordial. Harry Hollman, B-gaden/Cheimsee 73-74

Wow, I haven't heard Mels name in years. I was stationed with him for awhile in B'gaden as I remember. Denny Anderson, Bill Sutherland, Rich Stahl, one of them ought to remember as well. Harry

Has anyone soken to John Gervais? He was stationed on permanent duty at Berchtesgaden back in 1972-1974. He reported to Sgt Tom Wojtal and had civilian housing off base. I spoke to him about two or three years ago and he was living in Riverview, Fl near Tampa. However, I lost track of him. He had a tendency to move around a lot. He was also good friends with Lt. Albrecht. I know that he would love to attend one of these reunions. All he ever talked about was AFRC and the SKI & Water patrol. Look forward to seeing everyone at Keystone! Mike Glass
