Thank you, it was the Trimbacher I remembered,  tho Bier Adam is a very familiar name also. I sure do miss that leberkase and I'm not even any thinner for not having it! Thanks so much for your attention to my question. Now, could you send me a leberkase semmeln?

I'm pretty sure it was the Trimbacher I remember, but Bier Adam is also familiar. Thanks for your research, I appreciate it so much. Now, would you send me a leberkase semmeln?

Was it the 'Watzmanblick' restaurant?Good, greasy food?Up at the top of the road behind the Hof?Close to the Youth Hostel?I worked with a girl,Johanna,at the Hof, who was an  apprentice chambermaid and waitress whose parents ran  that restaurant.I think she married an American.

Many of us had our STAMTISCH at Bier Adams. I took my dad, grandpop, and two kids there last year and met up with Trish and Frank Huber that live in Berchtesgaden. I am sure many of you remember Irish Trish and German Frank. The owner still rememberd me from 93 when I had one of my good-bye parties there. Yikes!!!!

I am still trying to remember what the restaurant was called across from the Strub Kaserne that we used to stumble to and drink when we could'nt make it downtown or went there on our hungover days to start the process all over again. :)

WOW! Bier Adam. Did that conversation open up an avenue that had been domant for several years!!! In the early to mid 70's, Bier Adam was always on our list after Werner (Das Hoblebank) would look at us and you could just tell he needed a day without us. I suspect we affected many innkeepers that way.

Now I have to sit dowm and remember too many of those nights!

You wrote the following:

Does someone remember the name of a restaurant/metzgerei across, roughly, from the Neuhaus in Berchtesgaden, dining upstairs, butchershop down. They had the best leberkase in town (my opinion).

I contacted Renate Rauscher in Berchtesgaden and here is her answer to your question:

The butchershop and restaurant you mentioned is the "Gasthaus Bier Adam"
it still exists but only the Gasthaus not the butchershop/Metzgerei. Still the same owner familiy "Huber" (but the sons now).
I remember also that the "Leberkaese" was the best.
We have beautiful warm sunny weather - a wonderful "Altweibersommer" we call it.
Best regards from Berchtesgaden and Watzmann

....I forgot - next to the Neuhaus there was an another butchershop with Gasthaus upstairs which was called "Triembacher"
(it is closed since a couple of years)
Best regards
Renate Rauscher

Enjoy and have a great week.
