I'll be there!  I'll try to dig out all of my AFRC souvenirs and drag 'em there.  In fact, I'll the stop in at the Hofbrau Haus a day or two early to ensure the quality of the beer.  As always, I'm only thinking of you guys!

MIKE:

I will be in Vegas 7th until the 14th.  Since some folks can't make it until the week-end I planned a get-together on Sunday.  You can find us at the Westward Ho while you are in town.

Hi Mike.  Don't know if you remember me or Debi but we know you and Trish from Berchtesgaden.  Is there any way you could stay in Vegas an extra day or two so we could see you.  My husband Bob & I and Debi & Steve will be arriving in Vegas on Sat. 11th.  We'd love to get together with you if there's any way you can stay.  Ilona

Hey!  Where the farkiz everybody?  Got there at 1:15pm and wandered around bothering people until 1:50.  Was I late or early?

Did force down a half-liter at the bar in waiting area.

Bad news:  $6.50 for a half and $11.75 for a liter...PLUS tax after that!!  Little too steep and rip-py off-y for my tastes.

Sorry I missed you guys...

Kevin

Kevin - We were there around that time.  You were probably sitting at the bar when we went into the big room.  There were six of us, three couples and we sat on the far right, in front of the little stage about half way down the room.  We had a blast, it was a really great time.  Sorry we missed you.  Were you there alone?  I'm sure we probably saw you wnadering around, I tried to keep an eye out for anyone that looked familiar or might be looking for someone.  Oh well, maybe next time!!  Ilona

Sorry that many of you didn’t make it to our little bier party last Sunday. We all had a good time.

Ilona, Bob, Debbie, Steve, Inara and I showed up bright and early. Kevin was also there, but looking in all the wrong places. Ya…….I know Kev…….the one bad thing about the Hofbrauhaus is that the bar is just inside the front door. Ol Kev never made it past the bar. Oh well…….you know those RAIDER types. Bier first then the stammtisch.

After a few biers, singing some German Bier songs and tableside entertainment with the Alpine Horn we all headed across the street to the new Hard Rock Café.

Despite the 100 plus in the sun we had a great time.

I actually DID go past the bar and I thought I'd asked everybody in the band room and the biergarten room in the back if they were w/the AFRC group.  Asked the hostess and bartender, too.  I did see you now that you've described the group & table  but I thought that one of the guys at the table is someone I'd already asked as he came out of rest room so I didn't approach.  Yeah, I was alone.  I had to sneak out for an “extended lunch” and drive 45 miles @way to visit.  Had my ID badge and name tag hanging around my neck.  Jeans and dk blue golf shirt, wire-rimmed glasses, rather white-ish hair (ahem) 6' tall and 220 lbs (all beergut).

Also, you guys picked a great time.  Our weather for nearly all of this June has been 7 - 10 degrees below normal.  We haven't had a 100 degree day yet this month.  We DID have 6 in a row at the end of May.

Maybe next time....by the way, are there any reunion plans for this coming Winter in the mill yet?  What's the chance of doing a Reno-Taho area?  Lot's of GAPpers there...

Kevin - I guess we should have made a sign or something.  We'll have to remember to do that next time.  Ilona

Guten Morgan:

A few of us plan to get together in Sin City to tip a few beers and talk about the “Good ol Days“ with AFRC.

If anyone is interested we are planning to gather around noon on Sunday 12 June.   Post your comments or email me if you plan to attend.

I will bring along my videos of GAP, BRA and Chiemsee for everyone to see.

Until then    PROST!
