I never had that much involvement with Garmisch Kayakers but I do remember the guys and a few gals that were kayers in B'gaden and Chiemsee.
Each AFRC seemsed to try and be competing for the same market but the Kayakers were a bit out there like the way the gang from Berchtegaden liked to crawl out on the top of a metal bridge and in a group effort balance a kayak as another one would climb into the kayak and and then slip off the top of the bridge and into what was obviously a shallow but very fast moving water and just shoot down stream the entire time giving a rebel yell or something like it.
I can recall at least one time when the Kayakers at Chiemsee would try and see how many times they could do a roll. I seem to recall the first one to stop had to buy drinks in the bar for others and it was amazing to see how many times they could just keep going and there was the chance that they could end up under water and not realise it at first.
