Hi,

Thanks Sue. I would like to meet your family too.

I am about 90 klicks from Garmish 20 mins from Munich Airport with transport (small van) if I can help anyone.

Unfortunately I do not have enough room to swing a cat. One cramped place on the floor for a survival freek is the best I can offer. There are cheap Hostels in Munich, so if anyone considering using one wants free transsport to Garmish, I will be glad to work something out.

Garmish Accomodation seems impossibly expensive for less than super rich,  so if any lesser mortals consider staying around here, I can find them an inexpensive place on a Farm and they can travel around with me.

nigelexgap@gmx.de

I will be free camping, with my van and a Tent as I have always done. I have a one man, a two man and a Garage Size tent with the recent addition of a number of inflateable mattress's, a luxury I scorned for many a year, like wise the folding chairs.. LOL you may but it's true.

Having taken up photography quite seriously these last few years, I will be doing some photo shoots if anyone wants free transport to do the same.

Regards to all    Nigel (Landrover)

Brian.....

Great to hear from you, we thought about you this summer Scottish Ken was over this summer (first time I saw him in God knows how many years.)  Ursula, Angelika, Bella Marker and some other girls went up to the Eibsee Alm and of course Scottish Kate took good care of us reminded me so much of the great/crazy summer we had back a few few few:-) years ago.  Your name came up a few times in the conversation and the black VW bus wow if that bus could talk:-)

Regards for the New Year

Sue

Hi Sue and Brian and hopefully also.... Nigel and Ben and Sam....   WISH I could join in the fun at the Hausberg this Sunday.   Truly.

I got kind of homesick on New Years Eve day and realized that at 3 pm here it was midnight in GAP so I got on the internet and found a couple of webcams (other than the one on the Zugspitze).  One is a live cam http://www.mediaservice.info/garmisch/  and updates every 3 or 4 seconds and the other one is hosted by Marschall Electronics and you can turn it to view different things.  I got to see some fireworks at midnight on the live cam! It is focused on Richard Strauss Platz right at the entrance to the Kurpark, looking across the street to Optik Schneider (why there of all places??)  so maybe we should arrange a time for you all to pop by and wave into the camera.... ! Anyway take a look at the angle and see what you think.  I noticed that GAP has had a very LIGHT dusting of snow over the past 2 days but right now (literally) it looks like it's warm and melting fast.  Sad to see.

Andy I also remember when there was no snow for the 78 championships but that it snowed like crazy the night before the downhill and they were taking snow OFF the slopes because it was too much.

Best to all....  Sue M.

Great time thanks to Lynn and June, first time in I don't know how long I looked at the bar area and could say I knew 99% of the people standing there.  Great group shots  Landrover Nigel is sending to Hause to put on the site.

Hi Brian.

No don't hear from Marla, last I did she was in the same place as Jane, Darrel and Louise.  Heather may be in contact with that crowd.  We are all out tomorrow to Renzo's with Nigel for dinner, I will ask around

Hi!  Sounds like a blast, wish Kurt and I were there - please give our best to everyone, and a special hello to Nigel!

Marla moved away from the Telluride area about 4 years ago - to Idaho.  I don't have any other information than that.  We went down to that area of Colorado to visit about 6 years ago, and went to a party at Marla's house.  At that time, she had lived there 1 year.  It was a really cute place, and she went to a lot of trouble preparing everything for the party.  The big instructions, that I recall, was that no one was to raid her underwear drawer and put her undergarments hanging from tree limbs.  Oddly enough, someone had done that in the past. . . imagine!

Greetings to all from incredibly snowy Colorado!

Hi Erica!  email address is jplanetgap@yahoo.com or janet.siegfried@dexmedia.com.  Thanks for asking - would love to hear from you.  I'm going to Europe 20-29 March - flying in and out of Amsterdam (gotta get me some Amsterdam-aged!!  har har har too late, that's already happened!) then going to Avignon, Barcelona, flying back into Amsterdam.  Any time off?  I'm meeting Amber (aka ScAmber!!) in Barcelona - we're going to be there 25-28 March).  Really looking forward to the short trip.  No time for GAP this round.

Thanks for the note, talk to you later!

Janet
