Hi Dave. I think I came there the summer after you. Do you remember a windsufing guy they called Pineapple? I think he was from Hawaii. How long were you there? Do you remember a British punk named Phil a.k.a. Pip? He and I are now married, we met at Chiemsee. Who do you keep in contact with? Laura

Hi Laura I remember Pineapple very well. He nearly broke my finger playing volleyball. 1 of the Physco Windsurfers along with Ollie, Bruce, Mario a few others and myself. He was from Samoa. I was only there for that summer. TDY as a Life Guard. Wish I would have gone back the next summer as a civilian. I stayed in contact with a few people for a while. I have some old addresses I need to try and find them. I knew a few Brits that workied there not sure about your husband though. Did you say in another thread that you came over there with Katri. Is that Katri Noid? I remember her, but did not know her that well.I lived with a girl named Beverly from Australia, she worked in the hotel restaurant. Dave

I thinik we must have just missed each other. I don't remember Beverly either. Yes, Katri Noid was the one I can thank for my introduction to Chiemsee. I hear from Joe Pritchard that she is in the Portland area. I haven't been able to get in touch with her though. Do you remember Frazier from Bristol, Engand? Wonder where he is now? I remember someone kept stealing his bike and he'd find it on a roof, in the middle of the parking lot after flooding, etc. Nice hearing from you. We're all connected through the place. No strangers here. Laura

Laura Didnt I read somewhere that you live in Virginia now. There were several girls there from that area.Around Blacksburg I believe. Rick Griggs and Annina Arthes used to run the kids program at chiemsee. They got married and were living in Baltimore. Also have a very good army friend that owns the Outback Steakhouse in Warrenton.Trying to remember the other girl from Virginia. She was a tall blonde. It will come to me sooner or later. Dave

This photo wouldn't be the Pineapple you are looking for? These photos are from Chiemsee back a few years ago. Pineapple and Annemarie, summer of 1969 near Chiemsee. Photo by Layne "Pineapple" LaBaume

Hey Dave, I did not receive an e-mail that I recognized, then again, I was off-line for a few weeks and it might have gotten deleted with the spam. Write to me again and make it clear who is calling...like mention Chiemsee in the ref line. Got any pics of yourself from back then? Or are you on any of the ones I posted. I believe Mario is on there. I have a picture of Pineapple doing the Samoan fire dance in the dining room! Hope to hear from you soon! Barb

Dave. I was in Chiemsee in the summer of 81 but just for a while before moving on to Garmisch. You mentioned Amy Ringer, she dated a good bud of mine when I was there name John, in the Sailing Dept. Have you any contact information on Amy? Also, Was Jay Williams still with the windsurfers when you were there.? I last spoke with Jay about 6 years ago. Rob Robinson

Hey Rob Not sure if I remember who you are. Havent seen or heard from Amy or her brother Mark since that summer. Did John have a brother that was there also. I knew another guy she went out with. Do you remember Annina or Beverly. They were good friends along with Renee. I was a Lifeguard for that summer. Jay was still in charge of the windsurfers. I bought a board from Barb before I left. Taught my own kids how to windsurf on it before giving it up for a waverunner. Did you ever play Ultimate with us on the front lawn. When did you leave for Garmisch. Spent the three previous winters there as much as I could. I had a good military job. 2 days on and 4 days off for three years.Later, Dave

I see that most of the people on here are from the winter sessions. I was around during the summer of 81 at Chiemsee and I am trying to find anyone from then. Ollie, Bruce, Ed, Mario( Buddha Head ) and any of the other Physco Windsurfers. Remembering sitting around the big table in the bar and my first taste of Lake Fever. I seen Mark Ringers name on one of the other mkessages and I remember his sister Amy used to work at the campground store across the autobahn. Would love to talk to anyone who remembers Thanks Dave
