Relax Kevin,

So far it's only in the Lowenbrau tent, here's a clip from the Bild: Some of you may be able to read it.

Erster Geheim-Test im Münchner Rathaus

Oktoberfest-Revolution:
Kunststoff-Krüge statt Maß aus Glas

Schwerstarbeit: Eine Wiesn-Kellnerin beim Oktoberfest 2004

Sad ain't it Kevin? Even sadder is as usual the Germans have to lie about the real reason which is of course to save money and make more profit.

Typical German, when they announce the annual hike in the price of the Octoberfest Beer they will put the initial cost of replacing the Glass beer mugs with plastic ones as a reason.

It get's sadder. Most people will believe it.

from all reports, this will indeed happen this year. it will be an experiment, and not all tents are participating. our only hope is that whichever tents try this, see a dramatic drop in their visitorship. i will be actively avoiding all plastic mug using beer tents, though i may try to see if i can nick one as i hope they will be relegated to the trash bin of history and therefore a collectors item !

Well so whos the bitch now....??

I refuse to modernise! I'm sticking with the glass and ceramic mugs at the house for my fest!
My beer in glass or they can kiss my ass! A glass Stien or I'll drink wine!
First there was alcohol free beer and now this! What next and a non-Italian Pope! A C-average student becoming President of the US! $2.00 a gallon gas!

Oh, wait a minute that all has happened.

Damn, must be near the end of days, or at least nearer to the end of days...

Well, let's have a beer, but I still don't have to drink it from plastic!
