While all of you are relaxing at Whitefish I sit here in Indianapolis thinking about you.
Maybe next year I can make it and we can all sit around and talk about the good times.
I ran across some interesting facts that some of you just might enjoy. Back in 1951 there were a few places that many of us don’t remember. One such place was a lodge (or hotel) at the base of the Jenner. I don’t know exactly where it was located but the facility had a theater. Here is what was playing there in October 1951:
MOVIES at Berchtesgaden: (showings start daily at 1945 hours).
Predigtstuhl Theater:
Mon, 8 Oct. The Bullfighter and the Lady, with Robert Stack and Gilbert Roland. (Trust me, Gilbert Roland did not appear as the Lady-LRB.)
Tues, 9 Oct. Follow the Sun, with Glenn Ford and Anne Baxter.
Wed, 10 Oct. The Thing, with Margaret Sheridan and Jimmy Arness.
Thurs, 11 Oct. Santa Fe, with Randolph Scott and Janis Carter.
Now, my question is who remembers this theater and who ever stayed at the Predigtstuhl?
