Just the term "then and now" makes it sound older then....
At Berchtesgaden we used to fire up the Grill on the Skytop during night skiing and it was always a good party every time on the snow covered hills.
At Chiemsee I remember how Kniel and company building a snow bar by the Farm House and a raging bonfire made for a great snow party on more then one occasion.
This December 9th I will have about the 10th Annual Snow Party in Seattle. Over the years it has been on ABC, CBS, NBC, CNBC, CBC, and even AFN!
For the 10th time I will take the biggest truck tht I can get and drive up in the montains east of Seattle. Load it with snow and bring it down and dump it in front of Pritchard House.
The first year there was just enough snow to cover the yard.
These days we put down about 2-3 feet of snow. Build a sled run, a huge snow man and an igloo!
This year i have figured out a way to protect the snow so it wont melt and should last till Christmas! Christmas day the cover will go a way and nature will melt it.
If anyone wants to stop by please do. It take 20 volunteers about 4 hours to get the snow out of the truck and across the yard.
Here is what it looked like a few years ago.
