I never thought I would do this, but I am ready for my parents to move back to the states! They have their house up for sale. The location of the house is in what the locals call the "golden triangle"
due to its location to many of the high-populated cities nearby. It is about 35 - 40 minute drive to Mainz/Wiesbaden,Kaiserslautern/Simbach or Heidelberg and about 15 minutes to Mannheim/Ludwigshafen depending on traffic. All of the roads to these locations are predominately schnellstraßen or Autobahns. It is located approximately one-hour to the French boarder and about four to five hours to Paris. The size of the house is large for Germany at 243 square meters (about 2616
square feet) - living space, the lot is a corner lot with 686 square meters
of yard and the separate garage is 135 square meters which is larger than
most German homes - the two-car garage has an improved upper floor (that
also has a separate room that I use as small office/reference library for my
old car collection know as my "hobby office" above the small car port where
I keep my Messerschmitt.) and a basement under half of the foundation. I had
the garage built about seven years ago and have finished off the upper floor
to include insulating the area between the ceiling and the roof .
