Good idea Jim, problem is it still costs $49,275 per year. I once met a wonderful old lady Alaska born, & she spent 3 months in India, 3 months in Thailand, 3 months in Bali, & 3 months in Sri Lanka for $10,000 per year, a great character, of course this could be done a lot cheaper if you wanted to slum it a bit, but if you are on your own, & love to travel it is a good option.

Hi Jim, Another little thing, the Swiss Insurance companies who are paying for people with Alzheimers($12,000 per month)discovered that in Chiang Mai they can get better service including 24 hour maid & massage service for $2,000 per month so they are offering this as an option. There was an interview with the wife of a resident who said it is fantastic, the husbands helper sings Beatles songs with him gives him daily massages, & he is so happy.I think we will see many baby boomers moving to places like this, me I can take the snow for now but with a 135 yard steep driveway & tons of snow, Thailand looks very rosy.
