I am assembling information about my father, Harry Schuster, and all those amazing people he had met during his tenure as Asst. Mgr of the Hotel Berchtesgadener Hof.

If you have a story, let me hear it.

Thank you so much for your reply! The soccer game must have been a fun event. Tony Held was the Chef at the Hof and Klaus-Juergen Vogt just celebrated his 80th birthday. Would be wonderful if you could find some extra photos.

Vielen Dank,

Jutta

Keep an eye open on this web-site and I will see what I can find in regards to the photos.  Since this is a long-weekend for Americans I will have time to go through the slides that I have.

Do you have a DVD player and will it accept DVD's from the U.S.?  I can send you a DVD with all the slides I have from B'gaden.

If you want to write me directly you may at: james.carey@dfas.mil

I don't have any photos or I would share them with you but i do have tons of great memories of you, your Mom and Dad and the little gift shop in the Hof. You three were among the fsvorite reasons to visit Berchtesgaden. You were all so nice to me and everyone that ever meet you. I can not think of the Hof without thinking of you three. One reason for coming to the site is to read the little snipits from people who I wish I was still seeing every day.
You three were always so pleasant and up beat and the day just seemed to go better after a short conversation with you, your Mom and your Dad. Part of the "gemutlichkiet" that made Berchtesgaden.

I knew your father while I lived in Berchtesgaden.  He was a really great man.  I enjoyed talking with him when I visited the Hof.

One of my many jobs, while stationed in B'gaden, was Chief of Hotel Operations.  In that position I spent many hours in the Hof during conferences, special gatherings and other such events.

I will have to look through my many photos to see if I can find him.  I believe he attended the  party in Teinsendorf for the AFRC Soccer Team in 1973.   Your father, Herr Vogt and the Head Chef (can't remember his name) represented the Hof and their soccer players at this party.  The soccer team was made up of many employees from the Hof, Walker, Skytop and Alpine Inn.  Paul Ciprus was the Team Captain.
