Bill you were curious about the people in the photo on page 17. The guy with the big moustache is Vince Scabarozi. He made the ski patrol in 1976 but never patrolled because of an accident he had on the Zugspitze. Smashed head first into a boulder when they were exposed early in the year during a whiteout. We used all our equipment on him from what I remember. He never had the chance to patrol as he was in the hospital most of the season. Scared the heck out of rookies, that was the worst accident I saw all year.
